As Insight leaders we know that we need our teams to do more than run research and analysis projects. We need them to drive business change and commercial uplift.
To achieve this, many of us work on the profile of our teams within the organisation, and we encourage our colleagues to think like Insight influencers and learn from journalists, authors and editors when they communicate.
But whether we lead an Insight team or work in one, there is something else we should consider if we want to thrive and survive in a fast-moving corporate environment.
We need to increase our personal impact
In our March forums, we’ll discuss what personal impact means and why it is important, along with the benefits of focusing on it for Insight leaders and team members. We'll also provide tips on two aspects of developing our personal impact:
1. How we get ourselves invited into the room: developing our personal brand to manage other people’s perceptions of us
2. How we demonstrate the confidence, assertiveness and credibility to be invited back: the personal presence we create in the room
There will also be a chance for participants to discuss their own thoughts and ideas on this topic with Insight leaders from other organisations, in breakout groups.
