As the summer weeks are flying by, the IMA team are busy working behind the scenes to develop a brand new set of topics for the autumn term. All of our Insight forum ideas originate from member feedback, so we hope that you'll be excited by what's to come.
And, with that in mind, we want to give you a taste of what's on the menu for the rest of 2025...
September forum: The evolution of Insight communications
We'll spend time reflecting on how communications in the wider world have evolved over the years, referencing examples from companies such as Spotify, Netflix and the BBC. We'll also think about how we can use these wider learnings to develop a fresh perspective on our own team’s Insight communications; finding effective ways to get our messages heard, generate greater impact and drive change in our organisations.
October forum: An Insight leader's career journey
We move on to discussing the Insight leader's career path and thinking about how for many, this path is becoming a lot less linear, particularly with the growing complexities and opportunities that AI presents. Three key challenges will be presented for discussion: How can Insight leaders survive and thrive in today’s corporate environment? How can today’s Insight leaders identify and prepare for future roles? And from where will tomorrow’s Insight leaders come?
November forum: From researchers and analysts to Insight activists
We finish the year with an in-depth discussion around the ever-changing role of Insight professionals, and the growing importance of Insight activation. We'll start by sharing ideas for a new Insight management framework, which will lead us to discuss the ways in which we can help our team members to progress from being 'do-ers' to 'opinion formers', making impactful recommendations and developing skills in facilitation and Insight activation.
If you'd like to register for any of these Insight forum sessions, please visit our Insight forum registration page.
As usual, these forums are for senior Insight leaders representing IMA members, but we will also offer some free places if your organisation isn’t yet a member and you're interested in joining (sorry, no suppliers!)
In the meantime, we hope to see you all in September!
