In our podcasts this season, we’ve introduced the idea of the Insight leader’s playbook, and I’ve recommended it as a tool for helping all corporate Insight leaders and aspiring leaders who want to transform their team's impact this year.
In our last two episodes we’ve focused on the first of 9 Ps in our playbook framework – P for Purpose.
Today we’re going to move onto the 2nd P – P for Profile. Why profile?
Well, if we’re writing a playbook I think we should always start with a view of why our Insight team exists, and describe an amazing ambition for what it might achieve; but we then have to recognise that it’s how the rest of the organisation sees us that will largely determine whether we succeed or not.
Does your Insight team’s profile currently enable it to optimise its impact in your organisation?
What do people think that your team stands for?
How many trusted adviser relationships have you developed with senior decision-makers?
Does your Insight team’s approach to communication help to elevate or undermine its profile?
And what about your personal brand, do you role-model the behaviours that you would like your team to personify?
James talks to the IMA's Debra Walmsley and Jana Prahl from Savage X Fenty to see how today's Insight leaders are working to improve Insight's profile.

Throughout 2025, we'll explore the Insight leader's playbook and how it can help us all become more transformational Insight leaders.
Please send us your feedback! We welcome all suggestions for how we can make it more inspiring and relevant to the challenges that you face.
